"What Are You Mixed With?"

*this post totally calls for a picture but I can't think of one now...*

UPDATE! I'm gonna use this one. Why? because I can. lol.

That's the question I get asked the most...the second would be "have you ever met...?".  The second question frustrates me a bit because the person usually means a celeb and to be honest, celebs are just like you and me. They just have cameras following them around 24/7. Doesn't sound very enticing to me...

Anyhoo, to answer the ever so popular, "what are you mixed with?" question, I decided to post a quick something to answer that question once and for all! (yeah right!)

Here it goes!

My mom is French, Domincan and Haitian

My father is Jordanian, Lebanese and Syrian.

Both of my parents were born in Haiti. I get my yellow skin and big giant eyeballs from my dad and well ya'll know what I get from my mama! OWWWWW! lol. Ok, well there you go. I been thinking, I think this year I'll really go to town on my family genealogy. The recent devastation in Haiti definitely had something to do with this. I would love to go to Madaba, Jordan (that's where my grandfather is from) but I'm not sure how safe it is. Maybe I'll do the Dominican Republic first. Then France!! OOh lala!

I knew that would be the question! And I would bet $500 that every time you change your hair, the guesses change. I would love to accompany you on your journey to see the land of your ancestors. I just took my journey to Nigeria and it was pretty intense to see the homeland and meet the relatives. I am toying with the idea of a volunteer vacation this summer - maybe a trip to relax in DR after some volunteering in Haiti if they are ready for volunteers come summer. BTW - have you met Wyclef? You know, with you both being Hatian and all. ; - )
(don't answer that!)
